To the Ends of the Earth
The widest circle of our serving is the whole world, the nations who have not yet heard that Jesus is Lord. This is where we set our eyes last, and furthest.
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.
Acts 1:8 (CSB)
Jesus gave his people a widening path: witnessing first where they stood, then in the regions around them, and finally to the ends of the earth. We feel the pull of that last line. The gospel was never meant to be hoarded.
Honest About Where We Are
As a church, we have not yet gone. We have not sent a team, boarded a plane, or planted anything beyond our borders. World missions is, for now, a prayer and a conviction more than a programme.
The Seed Is Already There
The heart to go did not come from nowhere. Our pastor and his family has spent years on mission beyond South Africa, leading trips into Zimbabwe and other local locations. That is their history and not yet the church's, but it is the seed God has planted in us: the gospel is for all people and we were never meant to keep it to ourselves.
Where We Are Headed
We are praying and preparing to go, and soon. When we do, we want our first steps to be wise and genuinely useful: partnering with those already on the ground, supporting gospel work that lasts, and going to serve rather than to sightsee. If God is stirring something in you toward the nations, you are exactly the kind of person we want praying and preparing alongside us.
