Thinking about visiting Vuka? Start here

I'm New

Come and Enjoy God With Us

If you are new to Vuka Community Church, welcome. We are a community church in Monavoni, Centurion, and we are glad you are looking. You do not need to have your life sorted, your questions answered, or your beliefs figured out to come. You just need to come.

People who visit us often say the same thing: "You really enjoy God here, and you enjoy one another." That is not an accident. We believe our chief purpose is to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever, so joy is not a mood we fake on a Sunday. It is the point.

You reveal the path of life to me; in your presence is abundant joy; at your right hand are eternal pleasures.
Psalm 16:11 (CSB)

What to Expect on a Sunday

We gather on Sunday mornings in Monavoni, Centurion. A typical morning runs from around 09:00 to 11:00: we pray, we welcome one another, we open the Bible and teach it plainly, and we respond in worship.

Come as you are. There is no dress code. You will not be singled out, put on the spot, or asked for money. Sit at the back, ask your questions, and take it at your own pace.

For service times, directions, parking, and the full shape of the morning, see our Sundays page.

Your Kids Are Welcome

Children are a gift, and they belong in the life of the church.

Sons are indeed a heritage from the LORD, offspring, a reward.
Psalm 127:3 (CSB)

We are a family church, so for now your children stay with you in the service. We keep colouring and activity sheets on hand for them, and parents look after their own little ones. If your child wriggles, chats, or makes a bit of noise, do not stress. We genuinely do not mind.

Our services tend to be warm and interactive anyway. People laugh, respond, and join in while the Bible is being taught, so a few happy sounds from the kids fit right in. Bring them along as they are.

A dedicated kids ministry, Connect Kids, is something we look forward to launching as the church family grows.

What We Are About

We are an evangelical church, which means the good news about Jesus sits at the centre of everything we do. We take the Bible seriously as God's word, we preach it straight, and we aim to live it out together.

Our mission is simple: to worship God, proclaim the gospel, make disciples, build up one another, and serve our community with Christ's love. We are serious about sound teaching and holiness, and we are deeply joyful about it. Those two things belong together.

Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.
Matthew 28:19-20 (CSB)

Questions and Doubts Are Welcome

You do not have to pretend here. If you are exploring Christianity for the first time, wrestling with doubt, or carrying something heavy, this is a good place to bring it.

We will not simply tell you to look inside yourself and be who you already are. We will point you to Jesus, because He is where real rest and real change is found. You are welcome exactly as you are, and the gospel loves you too much to leave you there.

Jesus put it this way:

Come to me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:28 (CSB)

Take a Next Step

The easiest next step is to simply show up on a Sunday. If you would rather reach out first, we would love to hear from you and help you plan your visit.

  • Plan a visit and let us know you are coming
  • Ask a question about faith, the church, or what to expect
  • Explore next steps once you have visited and want to go deeper

Welcome to Vuka.

We are looking forward to meeting you.
