Come and Worship With Us
Sunday is the highlight of our week. It is when the whole Vuka family gathers in one place to worship God, sit under His word, pray, and enjoy being together. If you are thinking about visiting, this page tells you everything you need to know to walk in with confidence.
We gather because God calls His people together, and because there is real joy in it. This is not a duty we drag ourselves to. It is a family coming home.
And let us watch out for one another to provoke love and good works, not neglecting to gather together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging each other, and all the more as you see the day approaching.
Hebrews 10:24-25 (CSB)
When and Where
We meet every Sunday morning in Monavoni, Centurion. Pre-service prayer begins at 09:00 sharp, the main service starts at 09:30, and we usually finish around 11:00. Most Sundays nobody is in a hurry to leave, so the morning carries on over coffee well into the afternoon.
For now we gather in a home in Mona Avenue, Monavoni, Centurion. It is an intimate, family-sized setting, and it is exactly where a lot of people say Vuka feels most like family. We are preparing to move into a permanent venue in the coming months, and we will update this page the moment that happens.
Getting There and Parking
There is secure parking on the property, behind an electric gate, so your car is safe while you are with us. Simply follow the entrance in and park inside. We do not have car guards, so there is no tipping and no fuss.
When you arrive, look for someone at the gate or entrance. We would far rather welcome you in person than leave you guessing, so just ask, and we will point you the right way.
What a Service Looks Like
Come exactly as you are. There is no dress code, you will not be singled out, and you will never be put on the spot or pressured to give money.
A typical morning looks like this:
- We begin with prayer. From 09:00 a group gathers to pray over the morning before anything else begins. You are welcome to join us, or to arrive a little later.
- We share coffee and visit. Between prayer and the service there is time for coffee and conversation. This is where a lot of the Vuka warmth happens, so come early if you can.
- We open the Bible. At 09:30 the main service begins. We teach God's word plainly and honestly, in a way you can follow whether you have read it for years or are opening it for the first time. Our services tend to be warm and interactive, so questions and responses are normal.
- We worship in response. After the preaching we worship together. Our worship is heartfelt and expressive. People sing, respond, and engage. Some mornings are loud and celebratory, others are quiet and reflective, and both are worship.
On the first Sunday of every month we share the Lord's Supper together: bread and cup, taken in remembrance of Jesus' death for us. If you follow Jesus, you are welcome to take part with us. Scripture asks each of us to pause and examine our own hearts first, so we take a quiet moment to do that, coming not because we are good enough but because we trust the One who is.
Let a person examine himself; in this way let him eat the bread and drink from the cup.
1 Corinthians 11:28 (CSB)
Your Kids on a Sunday
Children belong in the life of the church, so for now your little ones stay with you in the service. We keep colouring and activity sheets on hand, and if your child makes a bit of noise, we genuinely do not mind. Our mornings are relaxed and interactive, and happy sounds fit right in.

After the Service
When the service ends, very few people rush off. Most Sundays we linger over coffee and biscuits, and the conversation often carries on until around 1pm. If you are visiting, this is the easiest place to feel at home, so stay as long as you like. You will not be a stranger for long.
Plan Your Visit
The simplest thing you can do is show up. If you would rather let us know you are coming, or ask anything first, we would love to help.
